North Flatbush BID 40th Anniversary Storefront Activation

Art, community, and local business—coming together across the North Flatbush Avenue BID corridor

In celebration of North Flatbush BID’s 40th anniversary, the North Flatbush Avenue Business Improvement District created this storefront activation as part of its continued efforts to support and bring visibility to the corridor.

Brooklyn Art Cave was brought on to lead the creative production, artist coordination, and installation management for the activation, pairing local artists with participating businesses throughout North Flatbush Avenue.

Each artist was paired with a business within the North Flatbush BID service area to create a custom window installation that brought color, creativity, and community energy to the corridor. The activation invited residents, visitors, and shoppers to support local businesses and experience art in everyday spaces.

This project was part of a larger effort to celebrate the businesses, partners, and community members who continue to shape North Flatbush Avenue.

The activation also featured partnership support from the Shop North Flatbush Avenue 2 Win campaign, a community initiative brought into the celebration by the North Flatbush Avenue Business Improvement District to help encourage residents and visitors to support participating businesses throughout the BID corridor.
